what a friends we have in Jesus

a simple idea for a small box frame. the back round is old piano sheet music from DI, then I stitched on some old skeleton key.

with spring comes feathers!

just a few new peacock feather headbands, i just can't get away from my feather/ bird fetish...

mix & match

just playing around making some fun necklaces. the chain is made up of random pieces from different chain put together as one, to make a fun eclectic piece.

penny in my pocket

put all that extra loose change to good use.
it's an easy project.
just get a linked chain or even use an old necklace.
if you could could drill holes in the coins and then attach them to the chain with a link it would look a bit better than the way i did it.

my new short brown cowboy boots

what good be on this day of March 13th?... well for starters I woke up and went to the DI, they may not look like much, but I like em' and I think i'll keep them around a while to get some good use out of them. one can not have too many pairs of cowboy boots (well they probably can, but until I get to that point i'll claim it). short cow boy boots are hard to come by, so im happy with my buy. now reminiscing on my cow boy boots I can recollect 6 pairs. one pair of which is in a bag to donate, garage sale, or something. since I have two pair of black cow boy boots, I figure I only need one. but somewhere along the line I justify the fact that three other pairs are different colors thus "I need them"...

someday when I remember I'll post pictures of the other boots just for fun, but since I'm kind of living at two places at once right now I need to organize my life.

some hand crafted goodies

my mom and I have been working on some of the decorations for the wedding, nothing huge, just fun random tid bits. eventually once June 18th comes ill be able to show you what we are using them for.

her yellow chair

the start of a new adventure. I needed a new project so I brought home this chair form DI for 8$
then for the first time in my life I used and electric sander and stripped the existing layer
sprayed on the primer, and started painting it one of my favorite colors.... YELLOW!
the yellow ended up being a little brighter than I wanted so with the second coat I used more of a golden color
than after I was done painting it, I sanded it once again, rubbed some stain over it to look a bit old, and sprayed it with a clear coat! YAY, my first time re-furnishing my very own chair :)
*I told Andrey he could re-furnish his own chair and paint it whatever color he wanted if i could paint mine whatever color I wanted.... thus the Yellow
