pictures from facebook

Lately on face book I have been looking through photos of friends and realizing they are supporting the handcrafted headbands, and or a cut/ color I did.

Above is a picture of Tessa Perry (a friends since high school). recently I cut and took her hair to a lighter color. You can't really see the whole cut in this picture, but it's still cute form the front. The back has a more short layers.

short bangs

The Star Trek Bangs.
Lately I have been getting sick of my bangs growing out and feeling dirty. So the other morning after not much consideration I decided to cut my bangs pretty short. I actually really like them, they look good with headbands and other hair accessories. They are a pretty blunt though and for some reason they remind me of the star trek bangs. (as in the picture below)
Since I'm not really sure what I'm doing with my hair right now (should i cut it? grow it out? go more red? go more blonde?) I figure one thing I could change with ought too much consideration are my bangs. Im pretty into having bangs lately cause then i can still somewhat have a style even when I have nothing else to do but throw my hair up in a pony tail.

HIlary and the flower clip

When I most recently went out to California a couple of weeks ago my sister in law bought a couple of headbands/hair clips from me. Then the other day when I was looking at her blog she was sporting my goods in one of her pictures. So thats what this is all about....
Also when i was there i cut and died her hair. Her hair was super dark, the funny thing is i didn't have gloves so my hands were died black for a a few days. I got a a couple of funny looks and people asking m why my hands were that way. But we had to get the job done. It's the price we pay sometimes to look good, or have others look good.

This is my cute, adorable sister in law Hilary.
(I totally took this picture from your Blog Hil... :)

beaded felt

Recently I have into felt. I have started to do some beading on my headbands to add texture and color, it is a bit more time consuming but I like the look of it.

Since the winter is coming and summer farmers markets are slowly fading away I am trying to get more items posted on etsy, that should start to happen this week for sure, if not but a few headbands.

Above and below are some of the new headbands made last week. Don't forget to check etsy soon! mostadoringly.etsy.com :)

crochet headbands

recently i have been into crocheting headbands and flowers. now i am starting to sell them and soon (hopefully this week) i will be putting some up for sale on my etsy account.

also i have been noticing in stores that flowers are becoming a big popular fad on headbands.

since winter is coming though i decided i needed to start k=making headbands that could actually keep me warm and serve a purpose.

Lindsay Webb

A short very layered and textured haircut. The bangs also are cut very layered to blend in with the rest of the layers. Her hair color is naturally this beautiful rd, unfortunately i can't take credit for the color ;) The length come up to the bottom of her hair line in the back making the feel a bit A-line.

somthi'n somethi'n

this clip is one of personal favorites. it is a triple layer felt creation with beading around the base layer, of course some feathers to add some fun and laughter, and then a vintage bead that actually cam from this way sweet jacket i got at a second hand store. the nice thing about clip hair pieces is the fact that it is so versatile, you could out it on a stretchy headband, hard head band, jacket, or purse! not to mention the fact that the model compliments it so well...

this little lady we have here is probably one of the best, she also happens to be the proud owner of the clip in the above picture. in this picture she is modeling one of my crochet winter head bands with the addition of nice ear flaps and bonus braids. this particular headband is also equipped with a nice flower to add a little somthi'n somethi'n.
the crochet flower is a new learning experience for me. i couldn't figure it out so my mom learned for me and then taught me (thank you mom!)

PRE-PARTYYY

happy headband party day!(kyle was being a good friend and came to support me, he's also a good headband model!)
Just a gander at how much stuff we started out with, and honestly we didn't have much left at the end....
A before pictures of the creators, makers, and artists. getting our pre-jitters out.
the sugar cookies that haunted me all day. i at more than i should even tell you, so i'll leave out the numbers and just let you know how much i LOVE sugar cookies.

~JUst A couplE of CuteIES at our local Farmers Market trying on some headbands~

the farmers market has been going quite well for me, but it will only last through another month. I can't believe the time has come for fall and winter, which meant the farmers market must go take a long winters nap.

happy fall ya'll!

Bradley P. Findeise

Once again I am featuring Brad on my blog. He has recently made an appearance wearing a beautiful feathered hair band.
Brad had been trying to get a free haircut from me for a while now, I told him I would with just a simple request (that he first brings in two referrals).
Well his hair was getting pretty long for his liking so in order for him to receive this haircut for free I got to take some pictures of him. He said he felt like he was getting his senior pictures taken, and I don't blame him. But we had a good laugh here and there during this process.

JOke: what did sushi A say to sushi B?
AnSwer: wasabi

August 26th

MOre Hair this week with Models Landon Wells and Miranda. Miranda and I went to school together. She told me her last hair cut was "bad news bears" so she came in and I fixed her up with a haircut to have a little more style and to fill in the ends so they didn't feel so thin anymore.
I also rely like her color, although i must admit i was not the one who created that master piece.
I'd say it was a successful day of hair :)

Metropolitan Salon Design

My brother is recently experimenting with graphic design. He is also the one who did the Bird Landing Logo. I am amazed at them, a big round of applause for my Brother Tyler Renshaw.

brad and the feather head band

Brad is the best looking kid I know, especially in this fabulous headband...
Well one night I was wearing this headband and I went to wal-mart with some friends. While walking out Brad commented on how he like my headband and next thing you know he is the one sporting it.
This headband is one of the many I have made. what do you think?

yellow denim

Last weekend the Bird Landing crew went out into the alpine days parade to sell some home-made goods. We did a decent job, I thought it was fun to see the girls walking around in the headbands we made.
Now I need to get to work and make more since Im running low on stock.
Our good friends Cindy Leishman took this picture of us just as we were heading out and back home.
We were to late at getting a booth at the ark to sell, so last minute the night before we decided to just walk around to sell, thus the buckets (they were our carriers)!

Must shair hair

My brother sent me this link and it is just fantastic. I have become a fan and would like to share it with all of you too!
do any of you have must share hair?
I have seen a lot of hair in my days considering the fact that I am a cosmetologist, but also I must say that I have not seen half of these styles shared on "must share hair". It makes me smily and think i could be doing so much more to style people's hair when they take a sit in my chair. As much as I enjoy looking at these "must share hair" styles" I am mostlikely not to actually try them on my clients ;)

Feetsies

And who doesn't love a good foot shot. The painting behind them is from the infamous whale wall in provo, on the side of what use to be the starry night, i believe now it is called the hookah collection.

Annie Stepp

Annie Stapp: I have now re-named her to Annie Stepp, for obvious reasons... She has been wanting to do these steps for months, and finally today was the blessed day. It's just a fun little diddy that you can easily cover up by just wearing your hair down, but it's always nice to have a fun surprise waiting for you when you want to do something different with your hair.
Ann is an amazing dancer so i bet these steps will be appreciated the next time she is out at 80s night. Pop, Lock, & Drop It...
