It was the evening of February sixth. We had plans to go up to a cabin in Fairview. We were going to make some dinner at the cabin and then have some fun four wheeling around in the snow along with another couple. We first stopped at the grocery store to buy some food to make hand burgers up at the cabin, then headed along our journey to Fairview (not the shortest drive in the world). As we are headed up the canyon Brice pulls out a video camera in the car and starts taping everybody, I didn't think much of it, but now looking back it should have been a clue. After a few turn arounds in the truck with the trailer we finally got to the parking destination, suited up in our winter jackets, and got the four wheeler ready to go.
So off we go (Caitlyn & Andrey) to head up the this "cabin", then Andrey was to go back down and pick the other couple up and bring them to the cabin as well, where we were to cook our meal and eat! So we strapped a backpack of food to the front of the four wheeler and headed on our marry little way.
After making a wrong turn we came to a complete stop when the four wheeler got stuck in the snow. I must say I was absolutely no help in getting it out since I couldn't even lift it one inch. So we walked back to a cabin found some willing ladies to help us out, and after a short we succeeded in getting it out. The mothers that had helped us get out were worried about us ever finding out cabin and also the sun had already started to set, they tried to help us find the cabin or the "look out point" in which Andrey was so eager to get to (although i didn't understand why).
Eventually we started to head back down the mountain with no success of reaching the cabin of the look out point. The light was getting dimmer and the backpack on front of the four wheeler was covering the light. I suggested to move the backpack to the back, and as he did he had pulled out the RING (I didn't know he had ), came to the side of the four wheeler and asked if I would marry him! I guess I didn't understand that this was actually the proposal, so I shook my head up and down and said yes, then he said "then you have to wear this". I hadn't even noticed the ring until that point, so out the beautiful ring on, then he knelt and asked if i would be with him for time and all eternity, this time I was more enthusiastic about my answer "YES".
And so we continued our journey down to the bottom where we reunited with the other couple (who had to freezing at that point waiting for us the whole time). Made our way to a lovely home cooking small town diner where we re in-acted the engagement for the video camera that Brice had so cleverly started at the beginning of the trip.
And what a LOVELY evening it was! So there it is the official engagement story.... I Love You Andrey :) ... and you make me smile
